Hello my name is Hayley Von Oepen and I love taking photos of nature, seniors, family, weddings, and engagements! I try many new perspectives of photography by keeping up with the trends. I love to scope out my surroundings to find new areas to bring clients to for photo sessions. I live in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, which is to the East of Appleton. I am really easy to contact and love to hear from anyone! Don’t worry, I don’t bite!​

I have also gotten into graphic design more in depth now so I have included some of my work on here as well! I love to design pieces for my photography business to help promote it using my own templates! I have made designs and printed on t-shirts in the past too which is something I love to do!

Why I am who I am:

Photography:

 

I have enjoyed photography for a while now. I first found my passion for photography by photographing my 2 cats all the time. Then I moved to wildlife in high school and the beginning of college. I think my dad is actually the one who made me like photography.

When I was younger, my dad bought me a Polaroid camera. I used to take that thing everywhere and photograph mindless things like my toys or my friends. Then when I would go on field trips I would buy those cheap disposable cameras. I realized that it was a way to calm me down since I do struggle with anxiety. 

While I have been at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, I have changed my niche all over the place. I know that my current niche could quite possibly change again but for right now I enjoy nature and portraits.

Graphic Design:

I have enjoyed designing things since high school. I took the very basic stuff in high school and then went on to get my photography degree. However, I needed more learning so I went back for another degree in graphic design! I helped design and print my high school's homecoming t-shirts which was over 1,000 shirts printed.

In college, I have worked on building my brand and figuring out who I am!

The Nerdy stuff:

I love using my DSLR camera; it is a Nikon D3200. I have had my Nikon for a good 6 years now and this is the first camera I have ever owned. I just recently got a newer camera, a Nikon D810, and have been practicing getting used to that. The D3200 may have been my first camera, but I have taken photography courses in high school and college for around 7 years now.

I love using Adobe Illustrator to make my designs. I feel like using vector art to show off my creativity as well as typography.

 

 

Why these are my current niches:

I love taking nature photos when I just need some fresh air and I love taking wedding and senior photos when I'm excited to meet new clients! My future goals are always better myself and my photography. I plan on doing my portrait photo shoots in spring summer and fall and I plan on doing my nature photos all year round. I like to travel so I can better my skills in nature because nature is calming. I am up for taking pretty much any photography requests. You can shoot me an email anytime!
